Privacy policy

This policy explains how JAMESLY PTY LTD, ABN 94 672 771 630, handles your personal information when you use isclean.com or buy from us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. 

What we collect 

  • When you order. Your name, email, delivery and billing address, phone number, and what you bought. Payment card details go directly to our payment providers and we never see or store the full number.
  • When you subscribe. Your email address, and your consent to receive marketing from us.
  • When you contact us. Whatever you choose to tell us, and a record of the conversation.
  • When you take the quiz. Your answers about your home and how you clean, and your email if you give it, so we can send you the result.
  • Automatically. Your IP address, device and browser, the pages you visit and how you got here, collected through cookies and similar technologies. 

Why we collect it 

  • To take, pack, deliver and support your order
  • To answer your questions and handle returns and warranty claims
  • To send you marketing, but only if you asked us to
  • To improve the site, the range and how we describe it
  • To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal obligations 

Who we share it with 

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers who help us run the business, and only so they can do that job: 

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders
  • Our payment providers, which take and secure payments
  • Klaviyo, our email platform, which sends order and marketing email
  • Australia Post, which delivers your parcel
  • Anyone else you have told us to, or where the law requires us to disclose
  • Shopify\u2019s built in analytics, which tells us how the store is performing 

Where your information goes 

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. 

Marketing, and how to stop it 

We only send marketing to people who asked for it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, it works immediately, and unsubscribing never affects the emails we have to send you about an order you have placed. 

Cookies 

We use cookies and similar technologies for two things. Some are essential, and without them your cart will not stay full and the checkout will not work. Others are analytical, and help us understand which pages people use so we can improve them. 

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, though parts of the site will stop working properly if you block the essential ones. We do not currently run advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it. 

How long we keep it 

We keep order records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our tax and legal obligations, which is generally 7 years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. 

Keeping it safe 

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including through the security built into the platforms we use. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

Your choices 

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@isclean.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, and usually within 30 days. 

Complaints 

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first at hello@isclean.com and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. 

Changes 

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed below.
